When your whole world is changing
the last thing you need to come home to
is a a lonely hotel room, an ugly furnished apartment
or a bunch of boxes.
You need a real home. And so do your kids.
That's why I created Dad's New Place. I'm an artist and interior designer who loves to make beautiful homes for people to actually LIVE in. It's like creating a piece of art for me. I began this venture by decorating and outfitting extended stay apartments for the building owners and while I absolutely loved it, I missed the aspect of tailoring it to a real person with real needs and tastes.
As I shopped, I found myself, again and again, imagining a man, in the middle of an upsetting divorce, suddenly forced to start all over; find a new place to live, get it painted and buy all the things that make it into a living, breathing home - sofa, chairs, table, desk, lamps, carpets, beds, mattresses, pillows, curtains, dishes, towels, sheets, pots & pans, cleaning supplies, ironing board, sewing kit, hamper ... omg, it's exhausting just writing the list!
Now, this is a man who always let his wife handle the household while he was out toiling for their daily bread. He has NO idea how to do this, what to buy or where to go. He also has no time because he still has to work all week long.
And worse, he's VERY stressed out about how his children will take all this upheaval and is afraid it'll be weird for them coming to visit and, hopefully, sleep over at "Dad's new place."
This where I step in.
Day 1: We chat, I see the new place, I discover his tastes in color and decor style, we choose a package that fits his budget and needs and we handle the money.
Day 2: I then do some cool renderings (artist's sketches).
Day 3: He OK's them and gives me a key to the new place, a deposit and a cash card. Then he concentrates on work, his kids and creating a fresh, new future.
1 Month later: I present him with a groovy new nest he can't wait to call home.
That's the plan, Stan.
If this guy is you - click around the site. Look at pictures. Check out the packages.
Then shoot me an email and we'll get started.
Because, here's the deal. I don't waste time. The only way I can make this happen on schedule and in budget is if you hand this whole ball of wax over to me and let me do my thing.
Dad's New Place is not an Interior Design firm. It's not even an Interior Decorating firm.
It's a woman who builds nests. Fun, homey, artful nests that feed the soul.
The difference between Dad's New Place and an interior design firm is:
IDF
I get a fee for just my services and make my purchases with a Cash Card you buy.
I buy quickly at local affordable stores like Ikea, Home Goods, Marshalls and Target.
After you approve the renderings, you get approval on only 2 items: Sofa and Bed. You trust me with the rest.
